Indian Head Massage

History:

This is a combination of massage techniques used in India for many years by male barbers and women in the home treating their family and friends.

The treatment:

The treatment involves a gentle massage of the head, face, shoulders, upper arms and neck, with the use of aromatherapy oils.

It has a very calming yet stimulating effect as it soothes away tension.

The session:

First the therapist takes brief details of any medical problems and reason for treatment. Then the client removes his top (for women down to a bra top). The client, whilst sitting, is urged to close his eyes and relax.

The upper back, shoulders and arms are massaged. Then the neck and then the head, working on the pressure points on the scalp, then massaging the face and sinus area, the acupressure points around the ears and then finishing with Reiki healing.

In General:

During each consultation for any of the above treatments, the client will have the opportunity to explain their needs and problems and the therapist will suggest which treatment is the most suitable for their specific needs.

The therapist will also offer aftercare advice to enhance the benefits of the treatment you have received.
